Special Needs: Heart Condition
Malachi was more than two years old when he finally decided to start walking. Though his gait is irregular, it doesn’t slow him at all as he hurdles himself towards nannies and friends for lots of hugs and kisses. He was the first arrival at House of Blessings in the fall of 2006, and we’ve been amazed at the transformation that he’s undergone since his arrival. He grew from a scrawny, sickly baby to a roly-poly, round-cheeked boy whose smile has only grown larger in the last two years. We continue to follow-up on his heart care, but surgery in 2006 seems to have been successful. Malachi will start preschool this fall, and we are honored by the privilege of caring for him. |
