Special Education Teacher Needed:

Two developmentally delayed ten-year-old boys need you! Has it ever taken you more than one try to learn something? Then you'll be able to relate to Nate and Zack, who are a bit behind the learning curve.

You must have patience and be ready to work Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-noon & 1:00-3:00 p.m. You will teach all elementary courses including Math, English, Science and Social Studies. This is a minimum of a one-year commitment . We will provide you with your visa, housing, utilities, one meal per day and $500 per month salary. If you're ready for this kind of challenge, write to us at: info@ChinaOrphans.org. No Chinese language required....just a heart to serve.

Short-term therapists, audiologists, and special educators:

We are looking for speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, audiologists, and special education teachers that are willing to come to China for one to three months to train local Chinese staff in their profession. We will provide reduced housing, utilities, and one meal per day, but all foreign volunteers raise support (about US$200-400/month). If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and skills to help our little ones, please contact Carrie at Carrie.Mills@ChinaOrphans.org.

Therapy Program Director:

We are searching for a full-time SLP, OT, PT, or Special Education teacher to help develop our therapy program. Our children have a variety of conditions that are physically and developmentally disabling, including cerebral palsy, hydrocephalous, limb deformities, and physical & mental delays. Our current SLP, Carrie Mills, has been collaborating with people all over China and the U.S. to develop a therapy department at SFCV in which she works to train local staff to provide therapy to these children. As she hopes to return to the states at the end of 2007, we are in need of a replacement therapist that could come for at least a year. We will provide reduced housing, utilities, and one meal per day, but all foreign staff raises support (about US$200-400/month). If you are interested in serving our precious orphans, please contact Carrie at Carrie.Mills@ChinaOrphans.org.

All of our Western team members have chosen to live by faith. The primary way that we raise our personal support (financial and prayer) is through our personal family newsletters.
