Visit Philip Hayden Foundation Campus


Visitors are always welcome on our 7Acres campus near Beijing . Come for a day, a week, or even longer! Our children love to interact with guests, but we also need to keep a structured routine to help our kids thrive. Visiting hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 8:30-11:30AM and 2:00-5:00PM. Please contact guest relations before your visit.

What to expect on your first visit

On your first visit you will have a chance to get to know our heart for children with disabilities, especially orphans. You will meet with welcoming PHF staff members, watch an engaging video and hear about our work, and tour our campus. We love this opportunity to get to know you and explore how you can Be The Change. This orientation usually lasts about an hour, and then you will be free to help with projects and visit the children. Orientation only happens on your first visit, so plan to come again – and come often!

Bring a team

Teams of volunteers are also welcome. Samaritan Guest House, known as Sam Rez, is located on our campus, but space is limited. Reserve your spot early!  Lunch is provided daily. Volunteers help with projects such as day camps for kids, maintenance projects, or cleaning and sorting. A team can be If your team has a special skill – such as therapy, photography, videography, or the arts – let us know. We would love to utilize your skill to benefit Philip Hayden Foundation and the kids at 7Acres. If your team would like to tour The Great Wall, Forbidden City, or the Summer Palace, let us know and we can help you with your arrangements. Sam Rez

Sam Rez is a great place to stay! There are two room size options,  bunk rooms that sleeps 8 (4 bunk beds) or standard rooms that sleeps 2 (two twin beds). Each room has a private bathroom, in-room AC and heat, and access to WiFi and laundry. The gathering areas are great for team meetings, or getting to know members of other visiting teams. But what about meals? We provide Chinese lunch every day! Breakfast and dinner are on your own, but there are several local restaurants and markets within a 5 minute walk of our campus where meals or groceries for meals can be purchased for a very reasonable price. Our Guest Relations staff will be happy to provide more details, just ask!
